Let's now examine each color's meaning in more detail.

Blue Lightsabers

Blue lightsabers are frequently seen in the hands of Jedi Guardians. Experts at lightsaber Duelling, these fighters typically combine telekinesis and acrobatics instead of heavily depending on Force abilities. They are renowned for their quick and fierce swordplay, leaping at their enemies without hesitation.

Fundamentally, the blue lightsaber represents defense and acts as a barrier against the evil that the galaxy's peaceful inhabitants are threatened with. A Jedi Guardian is dedicated to pursuing evil and ending the Sith's inflicted pain on innocent lives, no matter how far away they are.

Green Lightsabers

Jedi with strong Force abilities are typically seen wielding green lightsabers. Among their many tools are mind tricks and the ability to move significant things, which allow them to do amazing feats. The association with green lightsabers is especially well-known among Jedi Consular. These Jedi would instead meditate or negotiate rather than engage in combat whenever possible. Even though they are brave, it is uncommon to find an aggressive Jedi Consular. They usually prioritize defense and only retaliate when it is necessary, utilizing their lightsabers only as a last resort.

These Jedi exemplify traits that are in line with the spirit of the green lightsaber, such as composure, understanding, flexibility, and poise. They are intelligent and resourceful, and they frequently try to settle disputes amicably rather than violently through discussion and argument. These Jedi are rarely outwitted due to their nature. For green lightsaber users to succeed in combat and public debates, strategic planning is essential.

Yellow Lightsabers

Together with the combat-focused Guardians and the peace-focused Consular, the Jedi Sentinels—the classic wielders of yellow lightsabers in legends—were one of the three primary categories of Jedi. Between these two, they established a middle ground, using elements from both to modify their strategy, whether it was fighting, bargaining, or monitoring events as necessary.

Sentinels prioritized pragmatism over rigid ideologies. Outside of traditional Jedi training, they enjoyed learning practical skills like machine repair and medical care. Sentinels were more inclined to pick up a tool and get their hands dirty, whereas Guardians and Consular might depend on the Force to fix a damaged vehicle.

Orange Lightsabers

Those who find a balance between the extremes of the Jedi and Sith are represented by orange lightsabers. These people frequently reject the rigid ideologies of both sides, demonstrating a preference for individual liberty and upholding their principles rather than conforming to social norms.

Force users who wield orange lightsabers typically adopt an attitude that prioritizes the result. If they believe it will produce a better outcome, they may employ unusual or dubious strategies. Their decisions are frequently viewed as pragmatic, putting efficacy ahead of rigid moral principles.

Red Lightsabers

Red lightsabers are bold, uncontrollable, and usually associated with uncontrolled energy and instability. Even while those who wield red lightsabers frequently act strangely, they are typically committed to their overall plan and use a thorough approach in their techniques. In addition to the qualities already mentioned, red is linked to authority, rage, and a lack of concern for other people's well-being.

People who use red lightsabers tend to have erratic personalities. They usually have trouble controlling their emotions and respond to difficulties with violence, cruelty, and a lack of empathy. These warriors are incredibly persistent and will stop at nothing to accomplish their goals, even if it means sacrificing their most valued relationships or what little emotional connection they still have. If it meant achieving their most significant goals, they would destroy everything that stood in their way. These people have exceptional mental clarity and fortitude, and they are willing to take on any challenge.

Purple Lightsabers

Purple is symbolic of healing, metamorphosis, and a degree of moral ambiguity. Therefore, people who wield purple lightsabers frequently have a connection to both the Dark and Light aspects of the Force. They are often energetic, a little erratic, and intensely focused on achieving their objectives. These users also exhibit qualities like kindness, empathy, and isolation. They are the galaxy's lone wolves, frequently choosing to travel alone and devoting extended periods to meditation in order to discover their actual purpose.

Purple lightsaber wielders are renowned for their keen intuition and capacity to predict their opponents' following movements in battle. They use strong, impactful blows to confront perilous circumstances head-on. Despite having a strong sense of self, these people are easily influenced by their feelings and tempers. They occasionally find it difficult to maintain order as they strike a balance between chaos and patience. Their excitement rises in the heat of the moment, and they seek glory in war. Their combat style reflects their complete acceptance of the chaos of war.

White Lightsabers

White lightsabers are essentially synonymous with Ahsoka Tano. She initially appeared in the Star Wars world during the Clone Wars as a teenage Jedi Padawan serving under Anakin Skywalker. She led the Republic's clone army to victory against the droid forces on Christophsis in her first appearance alongside Anakin and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Later, she assisted in the rescue of Rotta, the son of Jabba the Hutt. Ahsoka used to wield a green lightsaber, but it later evolved into two green blades, one somewhat shorter than the other. In numerous Clone Wars conflicts, she relied heavily on these two green lightsabers.

How did Ahsoka make the transition to white lightsabers, then? She departed the Jedi Order under less-than-ideal circumstances after the Clone Wars, and she was left without her typical equipment. During an uprising on the agricultural moon Raada, she confronted and defeated the Sixth Brother, an Inquisitor. She created two new lightsabers with curved hilts using his kyber crystals. Curiously, the procedure turned the red crystals into white ones, giving her the recognizable white blades. As far as we currently know, this is the point in the Star Wars universe where the white lightsaber—or at least the silver lightsaber—was first used.
